Tocyn Ltd is a founder-led software company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17141975), based in Pembrokeshire. We build business software for small and medium enterprises — the sort of companies who are quietly running a real economy and who generally get priced out of the tools they actually need.
Our model is the opposite of the marketplace incumbents. No commission on the revenue you generate. No percentage of every transaction. No seat tax. Flat fees, disclosed up front, with every line item on the invoice. We earn our keep by being useful — not by sitting between you and your customer.
Every product in the Tocyn family — TocynTicket, TocynFood, TocynBook, and now TocynID — runs on the same principle. One codebase, one fee structure, one voice. SE Digital, our web design arm, builds websites for the same kind of business on the same terms.
The whole operation is Welsh-built. Servers in Europe. Payments through Stripe. No US vendor between you and your data. If something goes wrong, there's a director's name on Companies House — not a generic support queue in a time zone you can't phone.
In early 2026, Danielle at Coastal Cleaning — a commercial cleaning company based in Pembrokeshire, serving council contracts, care homes, private schools and supported-housing providers across South-West Wales — kept running into the same wall. Her staff turned up at buildings where the client had no way to verify who they were. DBS checks told reception someone had no criminal record five years ago. Lanyards couldn't prove anything about whether someone still worked for her.
The enterprise identity platforms — Okta, Ping, Auth0 — are built for logging employees into Salesforce. They don't help a care home manager at the door. Directory listings like Checkatrade are for marketing, not verification. Card printer kits produce photo ID that can't be recalled once it's in circulation.
TocynID closes that gap for SMEs. QR-coded staff ID cards with live employment status, revocable in one click, scannable by any phone. Coastal Cleaning is the first customer and helped shape the product. Dozens of similar companies — cleaners, carers, trades, facilities managers — are the rest of the market.
